There's no doubt that cybersecurity risks continue to rise. And it can be argued that Microsoft 365 is one of the most important IT systems for many small businesses, with an ever-expanding amount of data in email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Yet many small businesses don't understand the cybersecurity posture of their Microsoft 365 environment.

That's where Microsoft Secure Score comes into play. Microsoft Secure Score is a measurement of an organization's security posture, with a higher number indicating more recommended actions taken. It can be found at https://security.microsoft.com/securescore in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal. Microsoft Secure Store is included with most Microsoft 365 subscriptions.

Following the Microsoft Secure Score recommendations can protect your organization from threats. From a centralized dashboard in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal, organizations can monitor and work on the security of their Microsoft 365 identities, apps, and devices.

Microsoft Secure Score helps organizations:

  • Report on the current state of the organization's security posture.
  • Improve their security posture by providing discoverability, visibility, guidance, and control.
  • Compare with benchmarks and establish key performance indicators (KPIs).
