One of the greatest benefits of Android smartphones is that they are highly customizable. You can customize everything from your home screen to the way you access documents and download apps. Luckily, customizing your Android smartphone is not very difficult. Follow these suggestions to design your smartphone to fit your life.

One-Touch Dialing
Undoubtedly there are people in your life that you call more then others. With Android phones, you are able to setup one-touch dialing for these people. Just press an open space on your home screen, when the menu pops up select the “Shortcuts” option. Choose Direct Dial and find the right person from your list of contacts. After that you can select which button you want them set to. Easy as that!

Saving Time Searching the Web
If you have Web sites that you visit regularly, you can customize your home screen to incorporate shortcuts to these sites. To accomplish this, press and hold onto the desired site in your browser’s bookmarks until a list of options pops up. Select the option “Add Shortcut to Home.” You will then see the selected Web page appear on your phone’s home page.

Organizing with Folders
Folders allow you to stay organized in your office, so why not on your Android phone? You can create folders for projects you’re working on or essential documents so that you can easily access them. Accomplishing this is simple! Simply press on a blank space on your phone’s screen and when the list of options pops up, choose “Folders.” Then name your newly created folder and drag and drop your documents into it.
