2013 Annual Customer Appreciation Event Highlights
Much fun was had last night at The Fulcrum Group’s Annual Customer Appreciation Event at the Irving Convention Center!
As always, the food was outstanding and the venue, wonderful. As for the company, thanks so much for joining together with us! The limited feedback we’ve heard so far is that this was the best event we have had, to date.
Congratulations to all of our giveaway winners, especially Freda Maxwell of the Urban League of Greater Dallas. And a hearty thanks to all of our Cloud Panelists and Vendor sponsors! Perhaps a welcome respite for some from the ubiquitous, Texas barbeque dining experience (not that many of us think there’s anything wrong with frequent and abundant barbeque), we were so glad for the opportunity to host you! You really made this a valuable event.
Check back soon for a link to Dan Weston’s “Rockefeller Habits” session notes. In the meantime, please take this opportunity to access or share David Johnson’s
“VOIP Anywhere” presentation. If you need any further information about either topic, or would like to discuss your Cloud Strategy (or anything else), please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Stay tuned for some fun photos from the event…

Come On Out & See Us Thursday, Sept. 13th
at New Horizon’s SpecTECHular 2012
A Technology Extravaganza, right here in Fort Worth!
Presenter: Steve Meek, CISSP
Session Topic: The Case for BYO in Your Organization (Bring Your Own Devices and Bring Your Own Applications) – Presented at 9:45 a.m.
Session Summary: This session is a business and technical examination of BYO mentality and the implications for organizations. Organizations can embrace the strategy of allowing or encouraging team members to use tablets, smartphones and other devices to potentially lower asset acquisition costs, enhance mobility and give employees the ability to work with their preferred solutions. But at what cost?
We will review some of the drivers for BYO and contrast them the possible consequences such as management expectations, security concerns and staying true to compliance. We will touch on some recent statistics and conduct a structured discussion of tips to help organizations navigate the waters filled with iPad/iPod and Android shaped hazards. We’ll also provide some links to some free resources for end user security awareness programs. This is a not-want-to-miss session for organization leaders, technologists and users wanting to understand more about the implications.
Register for our 9:45 session here.
